The Roots of Homophobic Violence are Exposed Patricia Myers, a teacher of women studies at the Indiana University, along with Richard Cleaver, a longtime peace activist, edited the recently published book A Certain Terror: Heterosexism, Militarism, Violence & Change. Patricia and Richard will lead an informal discussion based on issues raised in the book such as gender's relationship to homophobia, violence and militarism; sexual identity, and the experiences of lesbians and gay men in the world at large; strategies for coping with and changing a hostile culture.
